2014 Summer Reading Program
Take on and explore science in a big way with our science themed Fizz, Boom, Read Summer Reading Club. Activities that may include science experi-ments, robot building, Grossology fun, nature explora-tion and more bring the program to life. Open to all ages and abilities. Registration for Fizz, Boom, Read begins in June. Forms can be picked up at school or the Millville Library. Reading starts June 28, 2014 and ends August 14, 2014.
Kick Off Party: Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Enjoy an interactive science and nature program with Native American, Lady Hawke. Let Miss Jan explain how the Summer Reading Program works.
Movies: Tuesday, July 8, 2014 and August 5, 2014 at 1:30 PM.
Story and Craft: Every Thursday at 1:30 PM. Starting Thursday, July 3, 2014 Hear a story and do a craft relating to one of the sciences!
Space Jam Movie: Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Come dressed as an alien or favorite Looney Tunes character. Refreshments will be served.
Special Program: Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Interactive storytelling and science experiments with Sciencetellers.
Author Program: Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Interactive storytelling with various authors.
Pizza Award Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 12 Noon. Everyone gets a prize and Party: certificate for completing the program. Children get special prizes for number of books read.
